Who we are

TumelLife is a product of Web Wonder Assist, a business based in Zambia. In this Privacy Policy, "TumelLife", "we", "us" and "our" refer to Web Wonder Assist in connection with the TumelLife service.

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or how we handle your information, you can contact us at hello@webwonderassist.com.

This Privacy Policy explains what information TumelLife collects, how we use it, how it is stored and processed, when it may be shared, and the choices and rights available to you.

1. Information we collect

When you create and use a TumelLife account, we collect information that you provide directly and information needed to operate and secure the service.

Account information

TumelLife content

Depending on how you use TumelLife, we store content that you create or add to the service. This may include:

Technical and device information

To operate, secure and maintain TumelLife, our service providers may process technical information associated with your use of the service. Depending on the service and circumstances, this may include information such as IP address, device information, browser or user-agent information, authentication-related information, and information used to protect the service against abuse or unauthorised access.

Notification information

If you enable notifications, TumelLife and the services used to deliver those notifications may process information needed to send them to your device, including notification preferences and device or messaging identifiers.

2. How we use your information

We use personal information to provide, operate, secure and maintain TumelLife.

This includes:

We do not sell your personal information.

We do not use the content you create in TumelLife for advertising.

3. Personal and shared information

TumelLife allows you to keep information in a personal workspace or choose to share information through a shared workspace.

Information in a personal workspace is intended to remain accessible only to the authorised user.

When you create or join a shared workspace, information placed in that workspace may be visible to the members of that workspace according to the workspace's permissions.

You are responsible for considering what information you choose to place in a shared workspace and who you invite to it.

When someone leaves or is removed from a shared workspace, their access to that workspace is removed according to the workspace permissions and the current state of the service.

4. Service providers

We use third-party service providers to operate TumelLife.

Our primary infrastructure provider is Google Firebase. Firebase provides services used by TumelLife for functions such as account authentication, database storage, hosting and notification delivery.

These providers may process personal information on our behalf as needed to provide, secure and maintain their services, subject to the applicable terms and privacy commitments between the relevant parties.

We do not authorise our service providers to use the content you create in TumelLife for their own advertising purposes.

4a. AI Assistant

TumelLife includes an optional AI assistant powered by OpenAI. When you use the AI assistant, the text or voice input you provide is sent to OpenAI through our secure server for processing. OpenAI processes the request and returns a response. Your AI conversations are stored in your workspace and sync across your devices.

The AI assistant operates within the context of your current workspace only. Information from one workspace is not shared with or accessible from another workspace's AI conversation.

When you ask the AI about your data (such as spending summaries), a summary of relevant items from your current workspace is included with your request so the AI can provide accurate answers. This summary is sent through our secure server and is not stored by OpenAI beyond the immediate processing of your request.

The AI assistant always requires your confirmation before creating, editing or deleting any data. No changes are made to your information until you explicitly confirm.

Voice input is processed using your device's built-in speech recognition (such as the Web Speech API). Voice input is converted to text on your device before being sent to the AI. If you enable spoken AI responses, your device's built-in text-to-speech is used to read the response aloud. Neither voice input nor voice output audio is stored or transmitted to external servers beyond the standard speech recognition processing provided by your device and browser.

AI usage is tracked per user (number of requests per month) to manage service limits. We do not use your AI conversations for advertising or to train AI models.

4b. Analytics

TumelLife does not currently use Google Analytics or any other analytics or tracking service. We do not collect information about pages visited, time spent, device type or location.

We may introduce privacy-respecting analytics in future to help improve TumelLife. If we do, this policy will be updated before any analytics are enabled, and analytics would never collect your name, email address, or the content of your tasks, expenses, income, savings, notes or other personal items.

5. Where information is processed

TumelLife uses Google infrastructure, and information may be processed in different countries depending on the Firebase service being used and its technical configuration.

Our Cloud Firestore database is configured in the eur3 multi-region. Google identifies eur3 as a European multi-region with read-write regions in Belgium and the Netherlands and a witness region in Finland.

However, this does not mean that every TumelLife service processes information exclusively in Europe. For example, Firebase Authentication is processed from US data centres, while other Firebase services may use Google infrastructure in different locations.

Because TumelLife is operated from Zambia and may be used internationally, personal information may be processed across different countries where permitted by applicable law.

We take applicable privacy and data protection requirements into account when selecting and configuring the services used to operate TumelLife.

6. Local storage and offline use

TumelLife supports offline use for supported features.

To provide this functionality, some TumelLife data may be stored on your device using browser storage or related local technologies. This allows supported features to continue working when an internet connection is unavailable and allows changes to synchronise when you reconnect.

The security of information stored locally also depends on the security of your device, operating system and browser. We recommend keeping your device protected with a passcode, password or other appropriate security controls.

7. Cookies and similar technologies

TumelLife uses browser storage and similar technologies to support functions such as keeping you signed in, remembering preferences and supporting offline functionality.

We do not use advertising cookies.

If we introduce analytics, advertising or other tracking technologies in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any additional notices or choices required by applicable law.

8. Notifications

If you allow notifications, TumelLife may send reminders, shared-workspace activity notifications and other notifications you have chosen to receive.

You can control notification permissions through TumelLife and, where applicable, through your device or browser settings.

Push notification delivery uses third-party infrastructure such as Firebase Cloud Messaging.

9. How long we keep your information

We generally keep personal information for as long as it is needed to provide TumelLife, maintain your account, support security and service operations, or comply with applicable legal obligations.

When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify information that we are able to delete as part of our account deletion process.

Some information may remain for a limited period in backups, security records or other systems where retention is required or permitted by law.

Information contained in shared workspaces may require different handling where it forms part of records that other authorised members can access.

10. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live and the laws that apply to you, you may have rights relating to your personal information. These may include the right to:

You can manage certain information directly within TumelLife, including your name, preferred name and profile photo.

You can also delete your account through the app.

For privacy requests, contact us at hello@webwonderassist.com.

11. Account deletion

You can delete your TumelLife account through the account settings available in the application.

When an account deletion request is made, we will delete or otherwise remove the account information and associated data that our account deletion process is designed to remove, subject to information that we may be required or permitted to retain for legitimate reasons such as legal obligations, security, fraud prevention, accounting, dispute resolution or backups.

Where information forms part of a shared workspace or another authorised user's records, it may require different treatment from information contained only in your personal workspace.

For instructions, see How to delete your account.

12. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or destruction.

TumelLife uses Firebase Authentication and Firestore security controls to manage access to accounts and workspace data. Data transferred between your device and the services used by TumelLife is protected using encryption in transit, and services such as Cloud Firestore and Firebase Authentication provide encryption at rest.

We regularly review and improve our security practices as TumelLife develops.

No online service can guarantee absolute security. You are also responsible for protecting your account credentials and the devices you use to access TumelLife.

13. Children's privacy

TumelLife is not directed specifically at children.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children where doing so would be prohibited by applicable law. If you believe that a child has provided personal information in circumstances where we should not have collected it, please contact us so that we can review the situation and take appropriate action.

14. International users

TumelLife may be used by people in different countries.

Privacy rights and requirements vary depending on where you live. We aim to comply with the privacy and data protection requirements that apply to our processing of personal information.

15. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as TumelLife develops, our services change or legal requirements change.

If we make a material change, we may provide notice through TumelLife, our website, email or another reasonable method where appropriate.

The date at the top of this Privacy Policy shows when it was last updated.
