Monthly totals

TumelLife adds up your spending by month, so you can see how much went out this month and look back at any month before it, without ever losing your history.

This month at a glance

At the top of the Expenses tab in Money you see the total for the current month. If you have spent in more than one currency, each currency is shown on its own line rather than being added together. This keeps the numbers honest, since TumelLife does not guess exchange rates.

Every month is kept

Below the current month, your expenses are grouped by month, newest first. The current month is open so you can see its expenses right away. Earlier months are collapsed to keep the screen calm. Tap any month heading to open it and see the expenses inside, and tap again to close it.

Each month heading shows that month's total (per currency) and how many expenses it holds, so you can compare months at a glance without opening them.

Going further back

TumelLife shows several recent months at once. If you have been using it for longer, a Show older months button appears at the bottom. Tap it to load more months. Your full history is always kept, however far back it goes.

Common questions

Why is last month's total still there when a new month starts? Because TumelLife keeps every month. When a new month begins, the previous month simply moves down into the history with its final total intact.

Are different currencies added together? No. Each currency is totalled on its own, both for the current month and for past months.
