Recording income
Income is where you record money coming in, so TumelLife can show you what you earned alongside what you spent.
Adding income
Tap Money in the bottom navigation, then choose the Income tab and tap + Add. Give the entry a name, enter the amount, choose a currency and a date, and pick a source. You can add an optional note if you want to remember any detail about it.
Sources
TumelLife offers a few simple sources to start with: Salary, Business, Freelance, Side income, Gift and Other. If none of these fit, choose + Add custom and name your own. Custom sources are saved for your workspace, so they are there next time.
How often it arrives
Each entry has a How often field: one-time, daily, weekly, monthly or yearly. This is a label that describes the income, shown on the entry so you can tell a monthly salary apart from a one-off payment.
It does not create future entries for you. TumelLife only counts income you have actually recorded, so every figure you see matches a real record you can open and check. Record each payment when it arrives.
Finding your income
Income is grouped by month, newest first, in the same way as expenses. The current month is open and earlier months are collapsed. You can search by name, note or source, filter by source, and filter by date, including a custom range.
At the top you see what you have earned this month, with each currency shown separately.
Editing and deleting
Tap the pencil on any entry to change it, or the bin to remove it. In a shared workspace you can only edit entries you created yourself.
Common questions
Why is my salary not showing next month? Because TumelLife does not create income entries in advance. Add each payment when you receive it, and your totals will always reflect what actually happened.
Are different currencies added together? No. Each currency is totalled on its own, in Income and everywhere else in Money.
