Leave a workspace
Review note (not for publish). Steps in this article describe the planned flow and must be checked against the final app before launch.
If you no longer want to be part of a shared workspace, you can leave it. Leaving removes you from that workspace, but keeps your account and your private My Life space.
Step by step
- Open the shared workspace you want to leave.
- Open the workspace menu.
- Choose the option to leave the workspace.
- Confirm.
What to expect
You are removed from that workspace and can no longer see its shared items. The other members stay, and the workspace continues without you.
Owners cannot leave
Please note. If you are the owner of a shared workspace, you cannot leave it directly. First transfer ownership to another member, or delete the workspace. See Transfer ownership.
Common mistakes
- Trying to leave a workspace you own. Transfer it first, or delete it.
- Confusing leaving a workspace with deleting your account. Leaving only removes you from one shared space.
