Personal vs shared workspaces
TumelLife has two kinds of workspace: your private My Life, and shared workspaces you keep with other people. Knowing the difference helps you put things in the right place.
Your personal workspace
My Life is private to you. Only you can see what is in it, and it can never be shared. It is the home for anything personal.
Shared workspaces
A shared workspace is one you keep with other people, such as a partner, family or a small team. Everyone in it can see and add to everything inside. This is what makes it useful for the things you handle together, like a household grocery list or shared expenses.
How to choose
The simple rule is this. If something is just for you, keep it in My Life. If it is something to handle with others, put it in a shared workspace. What decides it is which workspace you have open when you add the item.
Switching between them
You move between your workspaces using the switcher at the top of the screen. The name shown there tells you where new items will go, so it is worth a quick glance before adding something. See Switching workspaces.
Common questions
Can I move an item from one to the other? Items belong to the workspace they were created in. To keep something private, add it while My Life is open.
How many shared workspaces can I have? You can be part of more than one, for example one for family and one for a project.
