Security practices
TumelLife is built to keep your account and your information safe. Here are the main ways your data is protected, and a few simple things you can do to help.
How TumelLife protects your data
Your information is stored using Google Firebase, on servers in the European Union. Data is encrypted in transit between your device and those servers. Access is controlled by security rules, so your personal workspace can only be read by you, and a shared workspace can only be read by its members.
Signing in
You sign in with your email and a password that only you know. TumelLife never shows your password to anyone, and support can never see it. If you ever forget it, you can reset it from the sign in screen. See Reset your password.
What you can do to stay secure
- Use a strong, unique password that you do not use on other sites.
- Keep your device locked with a passcode or biometric lock.
- Sign out on any device that is not yours.
- Be cautious with workspace invitations. Only invite people you trust into a shared workspace, since members can see everything in it.
Shared workspaces and access
When you invite someone to a shared workspace, they can see and add to everything in that workspace. If someone should no longer have access, the owner can remove them. See Remove a member. Your personal My Life workspace is never shared with anyone.
Common questions
Can TumelLife staff see my data? Your password is never visible to anyone. Your content is protected by security rules that limit access to you and, for shared workspaces, the members you invite.
What should I do if I think my account is compromised? Change your password right away, and remove any workspace members you do not recognise.
