Data ownership

The information you put into TumelLife belongs to you. This article explains what that means in practice and the control you have over your own data.

Your data is yours

The tasks, expenses, groceries, reminders, notes and everything else you add are yours. TumelLife stores them so you can use the app across your devices, but they remain your information. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Where your data lives

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase, on servers located in the European Union. It syncs between your devices so your information is there whenever you sign in. For more detail on how it is protected, see How TumelLife protects data.

Personal and shared data

Anything in your personal My Life workspace is private to you. Anything in a shared workspace is visible to the members of that workspace, because that is the point of sharing. You choose what goes where by picking which workspace you are in. To read more, see Shared workspace privacy.

You can remove your data

You are always free to delete what you no longer want. You can remove individual items, and you can delete your whole account, which permanently removes your personal workspace and everything in it. See Delete your account for how that works and what to handle first if you own a shared workspace.

Common questions

Does TumelLife sell my information? No. Your data is not sold and is not used for advertising.

What happens to my data if I delete my account? Your personal workspace and its contents are permanently removed. You are also removed from any shared workspaces you belonged to.
